During any disaster . Most of the time the very first reaction that sets in is panic and the very first thought that sets in the safety of loved ones. Based on this common understanding we propose a system which is intuitive , interactive and automated.
Our system is automated to recognise if a person is a victim of a ongoing disaster .We achieve this by getting the location on installation of our application on the mobile or based on mobile number if the person is pre-registered with us . On recognising the victims it initiates a series of notifications in a regular interval . These notifications are used to check the victim's wellbeing by capturing location , an optional photo and record anything additional the victim wants to say with very minimal touch interfaces . The system will also send "i am ok" messages to emergency contacts if they have been registered .
In addition ,the application on the phone will have the capability to provide information about the nearest medical and rescue centers when requested.
The request or data sent by the survivor is logged securely in a server and shared to aid workers for rescue operations. The survivor messages and locations are also broadcasted through twitter / facebook channels .Thus ensuring almost ( we say almost real-time because we understand the network connections are intermittent in such cases the data is stored locally and transmited when network is available) real-time communication of the survivors to the outer world with minimal effort.
